The Data Inserter provides real-time data insertion. This product retrieves data from databases, the internet and many other sources and sends this data to the displays, providing a full dynamic display environment. The Data Inserter application is to be used in conjunction with the rest of our software suite.

The Data Inserter allows the user to automatically retrieve data from different sources, such as the Internet and databases, and distribute this data to the clients or players that are running displays.

Data Inserter runs as a Windows service so it will start automatically the moment the system that it is running on is started.

Data Inserter can be used for retrieving:

  • News or weather information from a web site and distributing it to your clients in a tickertape.
  • Stock information from Reuters and sending this information to clients in tickertape together with the current time and date.
  • Pricing information out of a database through ODBC and sending this pricing information to the clients where it can be displayed in text boxes or used by flash.
  • Data from a plain text file somewhere on your network and distributing this to the clients.
